Gutter brightening in Plymouth Meeting, PA.
Gutter brightening is exterior cleaning — the outside face of the gutter, not the debris inside. It removes the black "tiger stripe" oxidation that forms on aluminum gutters over time. Standard rinsing doesn't touch them. The right chemical does.
What it treats
- Black "tiger stripe" oxidation streaks
- General staining on the gutter face
- Buildup from roof runoff and weather
How we do it
We apply a gutter brightening solution to the outside face and wipe it clean. It's a chemical-first process — the cleaner breaks the bond, and we wipe and rinse. The difference is immediate. You'll see it before we leave.
Surfaces we handle
Aluminum gutters. We clean the outside face only — not the interior channel.
Serving Plymouth Meeting, Blue Bell, Whitemarsh, Conshohocken, Lafayette Hill, Norristown, and surrounding Montgomery County.

What are those black streaks on my gutters?
Oxidized aluminum reacting with particles from runoff — shingle granules, asphalt, dirt. They're called tiger stripes. Regular rinsing doesn't remove them. A gutter brightening solution does.
Is gutter brightening the same as gutter cleaning?
No. Gutter brightening cleans the outside face of the gutter. Gutter cleaning removes debris from inside the channel. These are different jobs — we do the exterior.
Can you do gutter brightening as a standalone job?
Yes. We often add it to a house wash since we're already there, but we'll take it on its own.
Will it last?
The streaks take time to come back — typically a year or two depending on your trees and roof runoff. A clean house wash combined with gutter brightening is the most effective way to keep the whole front of the house looking good.
